SANDY LYLE and Nick Faldo, playing their first US tournaments of the season, are both in a challenging position after the second round of the Doral-Ryder Open in Miami. Lyle followed up his opening 69 with a 67 for a six-under-par 36-hole total of 136, three shots behind the joint leaders, Paul Azinger of the United States and Australia's Greg Norman. Faldo, the Open champion, was one shot behind Lyle after a superb second round 65, which included seven birdies.
