NORWICH CITY are giving a two-week trial to Andreas Wagenhaus, a 28-year- old central defender from the the German Bundesliga club, Dynamo Dresden. Wagenhaus won four international caps playing for East Germany, and attracted interest from Norwich's Premier League rivals Everton and Aston Villa last season.
DEAN EMERSON, the Hartlepool captain, will miss Saturday's FA Cup fourth round trip to Premier League Sheffield United after suffering a depressed cheekbone fracture. Emerson, who will be out until March, was hurt in the weekend's Second Division game with Preston North End and has had an operation.
