TONY COLLINS, the Yateley light-middleweight, protested yesterday at the seventh-round stoppage of Thursday's World Boxing Council international title contest against North Carolina's Curtis Summit in London. 'I think the referee stopped it too early,' Collins said. 'I felt I was well in the fight. Summit was strong, but he hit me round the back and hit me low as well.'

PROFESSIONAL PROMOTION (Verbania, It, Thursday): 12-rd middleweight (for European title): P Sumbu Kalambay (It, holder) bt S Collins (Irl) pts.
