ENGLAND made a fine start yesterday to their attempt to win the British team title for a 10th successive year, beating Scotland 125-98 in Larne. Five English rinks had victories: Ted Hanger beat Angus Blair 23-9 and Tony Allcock beat Brian Rattray 25-12, while there were single-shot wins for rinks skipped by John Bell, Andy Thomson and David Ward.
