Skiing: Nicolas Burtin injured in training run

The Frenchmen, Nicolas Burtin, injured his right knee and leg yesterday in a spill on the icy Stelvio course during the first training run for a World Cup downhill in Bormio, Italy. Burtin, in his third season on the World Cup circuit, had his best career result in Val Gardena in 1994, when he came eighth in a downhill.
