O'Driscoll suffered a tight calf during training earlier in the week and was rated a slight doubt for the Croke Park meeting with the Scots. The 29-year-old completed a practice session yesterday and showed no reaction to the problem, but Ireland must wait until today for a decision on his availability.
Girvan Dempsey has joined O'Driscoll in the treatment room, after taking a knock to his left hip in training. Leicester's Geordan Murphy, initially dropped from the 22 following a poor display in the 26-21 defeat by France, is on stand-by.
Dempsey will also undergo a fitness test today – with Murphy, who had been selected for Saturday's match against Sale, ready to step in at full-back if Dempsey is not deemed fit.
Tony Buckley's place on the bench has been confirmed after the giant Munster prop passed a fitness test on his thumb injury yesterday.
The promising Wasps hooker Rob Webber has been rewarded for an impressive breakthrough season with a new two-year deal with the club. The versatile England Under-21 international has made 10 appearances for Wasps this season, including a man-of-the-match performance in the back row against Bath in December. Webber joined Wasps three years ago and has signed on until the end of the 2010 season.
