The Wallabies have experienced mixed results so far in Japan, with their opening victory over Fiji followed by a narrow 29-25 loss to Wales that leaves them facing a second-place finish in the pool.
Although Australia find themselves a point behind Fiji, they have a game in hand on the Pacific Islanders and are expected to come through the clash with Uruguay without too much difficulty, with a final win over Georgia enough to take them through to the quarter-finals.
They have been forced into a pre-match change though, with James O’Connor ruled out through injury meaning Samu Kerevi comes onto the bench, while 19-year-old Jordan Petaia will become the youngest Wallaby in Rugby World Cup history, beating Joe Roff’s existing record by 49 days.
Australia will also be wearing their unique indigenous-inspired alternative kit, a symbol of the First Nations people and a reflection of Australian culture and history, with the green strip to be unveiled at the World Cup for the first time.
