Rugby World Cup 2019: All you need to know

Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Part two of The Independent’s countdown of the greatest Rugby World Cup players of all time sees a number of big-hitters enter the equation.

After the likes of Diego Dominguez, Va’aiga Tuigamala and Gavin Hastings featured in Monday’s part one, a few more World Cup winners start to creep into the list as we edge towards the business end.

The first Welshman enters the countdown as well as the first Ireland international, along with a plethora of Kiwis, Springboks, Wallabies and Englishmen.

However, France and Samoa also feature, with a number true legends of the game included in the second segment of the countdown.

In total, 10 World Cup winners feature in the next batch of 20 World Cup greats – but the question is: who are they?

Click through the gallery below to see who makes up positions 80-61.
