Lipman faces stamping hearing

Michael Lipman, the Bath captain who played on the open-side flank in England's heavy defeat by New Zealand at Twickenham on Saturday, has been cited for an alleged stamping offence and will appear before Professor Lorne Crerar, a judicial officer appointed by the International Rugby Board, later this week. Lipman (right) was cited by Andrew Prior of South Africa. If found guilty, the Australia-raised forward can expect to miss his club's important back-to-back Heineken Cup pool ties with Glasgow, scheduled for the next two weekends. The first game is at the Recreation Ground on Sunday the second is the following Sunday in Scotland.
