From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Worcester have announced that Australian full-back Chris Latham will leave them at the end of this season.
Latham, 34, has decided not to take up a third year option of his contract with the Warriors.
Latham, who won more than 70 caps for the Wallabies and is their second-highest Test try scorer behind David Campese, moved to Worcester in 2008.
He is expected to return to Australia with his family when Worcester's current campaign ends in May.
Latham said: "After much consideration we feel, as a family, that this is the right time to return home to Australia, with my daughter starting high school and my son soon to start school.
"I am fully committed to the rest of the season and looking forward to making sure Warriors fulfil their goals and make the top six in the Guinness Premiership.
"On a personal level, I am looking to continuing to play consistent rugby and a big role for the club."
Worcester rugby director Mike Ruddock paid Latham a glowing tribute.
Ruddock said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to Chris for his magnificent service to the Warriors during the last two seasons.
"Chris has been inspirational, and his work ethic has been truly remarkable.
"Having had the opportunity to work with him first-hand, I can see why he was by far the best full-back in the world for so many years.
"His dedication to the job and his commitment on the field has been inspirational for all at the club to witness. We wish Chris every happiness in his new challenge."
Worcester are currently 11th in the Premiership, five points above bottom club Leeds Carnegie, while they face making a pool stage exit from this season's Amlin Challenge Cup.
