Castleford took a big step towards ensuring their survival in the Super League with a 20-8 victory over Paris St Germain at the Charlety Stadium on Saturday.
Richard Gay collected two well-earned tries in the first half and Brad Davis eased the Tigers' tension in the final few minutes with two well- taken drop goals as Castleford hung on in defence against an increasingly dangerous Paris side.
Castleford, who have never been out of the top flight in their history, remain at the foot of the table but are now level on points with Paris.
