A HANDSOME Welsh 36-0 victory over Scotland at the Glamorgan Wanderers ground outside Cardiff in the Under-21 international yesterday prompted the inevitable question: what happens to these players when they become over-21? We may be asking again after today's main event.
While Wales have been undergoing their well-documented travails, their Under-21s have been almost unfailingly successful, with only the 1992 defeat in Ireland blotting the record. Against the Scots they have now had eight wins out of eight since the series started in 1987. And yesterday's, which included half a dozen tries, was the biggest of them all.
