The Springboks ran in seven tries in their 46-26 win, two of them from the debutant wing Chris Badenhorst and another coming from Joel Stransky.

It was the second successive week that the Western Province stand-off had played a key role. Last week he kicked a record- breaking 22 points. On Saturday, Stransky totalled 16, adding four conversions and a penalty to his try. However, it was Jose Cilley, making his Test debut three hours after stepping off a plane from Buenos Aires, whose performance impressed. The Puma stand-off scored a try and converted all his six kicks.
