Rugby Union: Cadzow puts on show of class
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Boroughmuir published the club's official history just a few hours before going on to record victory in the only Scottish Premiership game to overcome both frozen pitches and - by contrast - the demands of the Dubai Sevens.
Though they sagged badly in the third quarter, Boroughmuir finished strongly enough to suggest that a side rebuilt this season will soon make the historian wish he had waited a bit longer in order to capture further impending glories.
Boroughmuir have now won three successive league games in a dramatic climb up the table. The entire Boroughmuir front row are new to the club this season and they were at the heart of a stirring effort which reduced the Heriot's front five to rubble in front of recently signed scrum- half Derrick Patterson.
Despite working off crumbs and inside a back division too eager to kick away possession, it was largely due to Patterson that Heriot's were level after an hour. And, with scrum-half rivals Gary Armstrong, Andy Nicol and Graeme Burns all injured, his move back across the border from West Hartlepool will almost certainly be rewarded with a recall to the Scotland squad for the match against Italy on 14 December.
Boroughmuir's captain, Stuart Reid, could also be poised to add to the solitary cap gained against Western Samoa since Rob Wainwright is showing no signs of making an early return after being sidelined since the summer with a groin strain. Back row forward Reid was in rampaging form playing off a dominant front five although he was overshadowed at times by his young colleague, Alastair Cadzow, who underlined his potential by dashing 20 metres unopposed for the first of three Boroughmuir tries.
Heriot's produced the best try of the match by replacement winger Stewart Walker but recent injury problems deepened when the former Scotland A full-back, Stuart Lang, was stretchered off after claiming their other touchdown.
