French leave Leigh in lurch

The French Cup winners St Esteve won in England for a second successive season when they dumped second division leaders Leigh out of the Regal Trophy at the first hurdle. The Lancastrians looked set for victory but a late try by Pierre Chamorin clinched a 19-16 win for the French.
