Scotland's Colin McRae is poised for victory in the first round of the Indonesian Rally. Yesterday McRae set off at a blistering pace and Sweden's Kenneth Eriksson, who started the day 11 seconds adrift, could do nothing to close the gap. By the end of 10 timed stages, McRae's Subaru Impreza 555 had a lead of more than two minutes. With one day remaining, the Scot knows that the onus is on him. "A two-minute time cushion means I don't need to take any stupid risks," he said. "My focus now will be on winning without having to worry about the odd second here and there."
