GORDON RICHARDS, the Penrith trainer, and the jockey Martin Moloney are to face the Jockey Club's Disciplinary Committee over a possible breach of the non- triers' rule with Ninfa at Carlisle in February. They are the first to be summoned under a new initiative against non-triers.

The Carlisle stewards did not spot anything amiss when the 8-1 chance Ninfa made rapid late headway to finish third, beaten one-and-a-half lengths, in a novice hurdle. But the stewards in London were alerted after reviewing the race again.

Richards also trained the runner-up, Pakenham, who was ridden by first-choice jockey Neale Doughty and was better fancied in the market at 9-2.
