Racing: Pollen Count rising again
POLLEN COUNT, trained by John Gosden, held off his fellow British challenger Great Palm by half a length in yesterday's Prix Eugene Adam at Saint-Cloud.
Steve Cauthen made virtually all the running on Pollen Count, winner of Sandown's Classic Trial in April, who was returning to his best after disappointments in both the Derby and Grand Prix de Paris. 'He was well suited by making the running,' Cauthen said. 'He lacks a turn of foot and needs to take the sting out of his rivals early on.'
