Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

2.30: Misbelief gives this Listed race preference over Saturday's more valuable Festival handicap, in which she was very well treated and heavily backed. The hint would be worth taking but the filly is an unknown quantity on testing going. Monaassabaat's form has also been on a sound surface, including when second over 10 furlongs at Yarmouth nine days ago. More than five lengths further back in fourth that day was LAS FLORES, now 2lb worse off. But today's race, over 12 furlongs, will be a slog and and Paul Cole's mud-lover can turn around the form. She was third in a heavy ground Oaks d'Italia in May.
3.05: Wagon Master, achieved a hard- fought victory over Urgent Request at Kempton three weeks ago and it looks sure to be close between them this afternoon. But BLUSH RAMBLER is another likely to step up on recent performances now that the ground has plenty of give in it.
3.40: Dreamboat and Golden Tune are newcomers from stables with powerful two-year-old strings. In time these two fillies may well prove superior to today's rivals, but MARHA can put the experience of a considerate introduction at Haydock to good use here. She is a stablemate of Mamlakah, one of the season's top juvenile fillies.
4.10: BRANDON PRINCE gained a decisive victory at Goodwood last time, his first win for 14 months. He dropped dramatically in the handicap ratings during that time but has been raised just 3lb for his Goodwood success. With an apparent revival of his old ability, the six-year-old can take this prize and confirm himself a strong contender for the Cesarewitch. He handles this ground, as does Doyce. This five-year-old has been sparingly campaigned so far this season, but looks well handicapped and dangerous today.
