Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

YORK

2.05: BLESSINGINDISGUISE was a model of consistency last season, winning five times and finishing placed on another six occasions (from a total of 17 outings). Mick Kinane takes the ride and that indicates a bold show is expected on this five-year-old's seasonal bow.

ooo

2.35: James Fanshawe's string has been showing up well this month and HEAVENLY RAY can be another winner for the stable. This filly got off the mark, with comfort, a mile maiden at Yarmouth last season and this 10 furlongs is expected to suit her ideally this campaign.

ooo

3.10: Border Arrow showed plenty of class by running into the frame in the 2,000 Guineas and it will be intriguing to see how he copes with this turning track. Henry Cecil has been talking up the prospects of Dr Fong during the past week and that should be enough to inhibit confidence in today's opposition. After yesterday's victory by Bahr here yesterday, however, Godolphin could follow up through CITY HONOURS. Frankie Dettori's mount looks poised to prove himself in auspicious company.

3.40: RAMOOZ was caught close home at Haydock 11 days ago, but should make no mistake this time.
