Q. How many Football League grounds allow play to be seen by people standing outside the ground?

A. Footballing skinflints may be interested to know that the League's newest team, Macclesfield, can be viewed without the inconvenience of paying for entry.

The corner section between the away end and the terraced side is not fenced off - indeed, there are helpful railings for smaller fans to climb on - and provides a free and uninterrupted view of the pitch. Fans are recommended to arrive early to secure a choice viewing position, however.

Q. Of the last 22 games that I have watched my team, Grimsby Town, play, I have only seen one win.

Even that single victory was on the day that we were relegated to the Second Division. These trips have resulted in travelling 3,500 miles over a season and a half. Can anybody match this dismal record?
