Having smashed his way out of a toilet cubicle just a couple of days ago, bobsledder Johnny Quinn risks being labelled the unluckiest man in Sochi after he found himself stuck in a confined space yet again.

However, the American bobsledder found escaping on this occasion a little more difficult with the elevator he was trapped in proving more robust.

The American got stuck in the lift at the Winter Olympics on Monday morning along with his team-mates Nick Cunningham and David Cripps.

"No one is going to believe this but we just got stuck in an elevator. Ask @BOBSLEDR and @Crippsee who were there..." he tweeted.

On Saturday Quinn found himself stuck inside a bathroom but on that occasion found a novel way of escaping - by smashing his through it.

"With no phone to call for help, I used my bobsled training to break out," Quinn tweeted alongside a picture of the destroyed door which quickly went viral.

After finding himself trapped in the lift, Quinn posed in a series of pictures as he mockingly attempted to free himself again.
