Alain Menu and Jason Plato won a race each as Renault ended the Auto Trader RAC Touring Car Championship in style at Silverstone yesterday.
Menu's victory in round 23 of the championship was his most controversial of the year. He wrested the lead from Plato on the 10th of the scheduled 20 laps.
As the leaders approached Becketts, Menu lunged down Plato's inside, forcing him wide. However, an unrepentant Menu said afterwards: "I always say that unless given an order, I drive my own race."
