The McLaren-Mercedes team has denied that cockpit design problems could wreck their challenge for this year's Formula One world championship.
Following complaints about lack of space inside his new car, a team spokesman said the problem was no more than a typical pre-season hiccup.
"I think a lot has been made out of very little," said McLaren spokesman Norman Howell, who confirmed there was a problem for Nigel Mansell and Mika Hkkinen, but stressed that it was not a fundamental design flaw.
