Alexandre Vinokourov sprinted to his second victory of the Isle of Man week in yesterday's Curwen Clague Memorial group handicap race.
A scratch group of international riders wiped out a seven-minute deficit with two of 11 laps left over 48 miles on the Billown circuit near Castletown. The final sprint was fought out between a group of 10 riders, with the Kazakh just beating Australia's Tony Morphett to the line.
The highest-placed British finisher was Peter Chapman. The veteran came home in sixth place after tagging on to the scratch riders as they swept past the leaders.
