Two goals each from player-coach Rob Thompson and from Mark Crowley gave Hampstead and Westminster a comfortable 5-1 win against Ashford to keep them ahead of Anchorians on goal difference at the top of the Nastro Azzurro South Premier, writes Bill Colwill.
Anchorians were 4-0 winners against Woking as the two unbeaten sides run neck and neck.
In the Adnams East Premier a 25th-minute penalty corner strike from Gareth Machin was enough to see Cambridge City to a 1-0 win at Ipswich and for them to retain their three-point lead over Chelmsford, 4-0 winners against Sudbury with Mike Cullen scoring twice.
In the North, Norton are now six points clear of Formby, with Robinsons leading the way in the West and Harborne in the Midlands.
