ENGLAND continued their winning form from last month's Lille European Qualifying Tournament with an 11-5 win against the United States in a Five Nations' Tournament here last night before going on to beat Denmark 8-5 and finish the evening at the top of the table, writes Bill Colwill from Kidderminster.

England built up a 6-0 lead against the Americans with goals from Peter Nail, Soma Singh, Nick Thompson, Don Williams and two within 20 seconds from Bob Crutchley. In the second half Jason Laslett got on the scoresheet and Crutchley and Thompson completed hat-tricks.

In their second game, a well-organised Denmark took a 4-2 lead and it was not until 16 minutes into the second half that England took the lead through Laslett at 5-4. Two late goals from Crutchley and one from Andy Humphrey saw England to their second win.
