Southgate edged ahead of Hounslow on goal difference at the top of the PizzaExpress National League First Division with a 6-0 win over Slough yesterday. After captain John Shaw had given them an early lead, goals came at regular intervals with Pietro Attala scoring twice. Rob Thompson and Bob Crutchley scored the goals that gave Hounslow a 2-1 win at home to Stourport with David Knott replying.
