Liam Higgins, the Irishman, scored his second victory on the PGA European Seniors Tour when he won the Zurich Senior Trophy at Brietenloo yesterday. Higgins finished three ahead of the field on a 16-under-par total of 200, a record for the Tour.

Jerry Barber, who captained the US Ryder Cup team in 1961 and won the PGA Championship the same year, died on Friday of heart failure at the age of 78.
