Brian Davis and Greg Owen share overnight lead
English duo Brian Davis and Greg Owen shared the overnight lead at the New Orleans Classic when play was suspended due to lightning and heavy rain. Only 47 of the 150-strong field were able to complete their second rounds before play was called off.
Davis and Owen advanced to seven under par alongside Germany's Alex Cejka, American veteran Lee Janzen and first-round leader Jason Bohn. Davis, runner-up last week to Jim Furyk at the Verizon Heritage having called a penalty on himself during a sudden-death play-off, continued his good form with a six-under-par 66 at the 7,340-yard course in Avondale. Meanwhile, Australia's Marcus Fraser carded a second-round 70 to maintain his one-shot lead at the weather-affected Ballantine's Championship in Jeju. The tournament in South Korea has been reduced to three rounds after nearly seven hours of play was lost on Thursday.
