Iain Pyman, last year's amateur champion who is playing in only his second Tour event since turning professional, returned a 68 in the third round of the Jersey Open at La Moye to stay within one shot of leader, Mark James, before today's final round. Pyman is tied at 15-under-par 201 with the Australian Rodger Davis. Pyman, 21, had six birdies and one bogey. 'I enjoyed the front nine but then I became too defensive,' he said. Two shots adrift of James's 16- under total of 200 are Andrew Oldcorn and Irishman Des Smyth, who both shot 65.
