GM Vauxhall Conference proposes top three clubs for Football League

The GM Vauxhall Conference has proposed to the Football League that the top three clubs in the Conference should be promoted to the Football League, rather than just the champions as at present.

Dundee have signed Jim McInally, the 33-year-old former international midfielder, from their neighbours Dundee United where he was player-coach, for a nominal fee of around pounds 20,000.

Eendracht Aalst, the Belgian First Division club, face allegations of attempted bribery to fix matches. The Belgian football union's controlling committee, which is considering the allegations, will announce its decision on Tuesday.
