Pro Evolution Soccer's 2011 World Finals are to take place in Cologne, Germany, August 17-19 during the city's Gamescom event.

Around 30 finalists will have come through regional qualifying rounds for the knock-out.

Gamescom, Europe's largest games expo and comparable with E3 and the Tokyo Games Show, runs August 17-21 at the Köln Messe.

The PES World Finals will be just down the road at the KölnSky tower.

Last year's finals were streamed live via UStream.tv, with PES series producer Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka presenting winners with trophies and prizes.

EA's FIFA series hosted its own tournament finals in California this past June, concurrent with both E3 and the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
