John Cena kicked off the show with a statement that he will not back out of his WWE Championship rematch against Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions. The former champion was however interrupted by Kane and Seth Rollins but before the duo could make a point, Roman Reigns' music hit.

Reigns said that he will put his issues with Randy Orton to bed on Raw, which can enable him to focus on taking out Kane and Rollins in the meantime. Rollins said that he is always one step ahead of Reigns, which cued the cutting of the lights for the Wyatt Family to appear.

Before the Wyatts could attack, Chris Jericho made his way down the ramp with The Big Show and Mark Henry. Triple H made his way to the ring to announce a ten-man tag team match and even paid tribute to Teddy Long by saying "Player" and having his music play to end the segment.

The action got underway with Cesaro taking on Dolph Ziggler with Sheamus on commentary. The finish came with Cesaro hitting Ziggler with a clothesline but the "Show Off" managed to reverse the cover into a roll up for the three count. After the match Sheamus trough his title at the face of Cesaro, contrasting their segment last week and finished the segment with the Brogue Kick.

Jimmy Uso defeated Heath Slater with the aid of his brother Jey who was at ringside. Jey used his crutch to defend his brother from an interfering Titus O'Neill who was at ringside while Jimmy hit a superkick on Slater followed by the Splash for the win

Brie Bella wrestled in the ring for the first time since SummerSlam by taking on Paige in a non-title match. Nikki Bella was ringside on commentary to keep an eye on her rivalled sibling. AJ Lee made her way to the announcers area towards the end of the match where she was met with a startled Nikki. The two Divas tussled before AJ attacked her with a series of punches. Brie attempted to save her sister but this distraction allowed Paige to take advantage with the Rampaige for the win.

Bo Dallas defeated Zack Ryder in less than two minutes with the "Bodog". Dallas was however then met with the music of Jack Swagger who approached the ramp with a returning Zeb Coulter and appeared to look revived following a bad run. "The Real American" stormed down to the ring and locked the ankle lock in on Bo before big booting him out of the ring. Swagger looked like a reformed man here, setting him up with improved momentum for his potential match with Dallas at Night of Champions.

The main event between Cena, Jericho, Henry, Show & Reigns and The Wyatt Family, Kane & Rollins went a lengthily half an hour with both teams pulling out all the stops. The match culminated with Cena locking in the STF on Rollins but The Wyatts ran in out of turn for the match to finish in a disqualification. A massive brawl broke our following the match with Y2J hitting a Codebreaker on Wyatt, Henry & Show landing their finishers on Harper & Rowan, Reigns with the Spear on Kane and finally Cena with the AA on Rollins to end the show.

Very strong Smackdown this week following a poor Raw. It looks like WWE responded to fans' negative reaction from Monday night and pulled out all the stops. The main event consisted of the top stars on the roster and is a positive sign for the company going forward.
