Sting surprisingly kicked off Raw and addressed his upcoming match with Triple H this Sunday at WrestleMania. 'The Vigilante' got his speech underway with his famous "Woo" before stating that this match has nothing to do with the 'Monday Night Wars' with Sting being the last man standing on the WCW side. The former WCW Champion said that this match is simply to take Triple H and The Authority down before Stephanie McMahon cut him short.

Stephanie said that Sting was a big fish in a small pond but now he’s intimidated by her as she is the daughter of the man who single-handedly diminished his former company. Stephanie went to slap Sting but he was able to block her before Triple H made his way to the ring.

Just as the COO grabbed his trademark sledgehammer, Sting responded by pulling out his patented baseball bat. Triple H changed his mind to retreat back up the ramp and left the fans waiting till later this week where the two will finally go at it.

Dean Ambrose partnered with R-Truth to take on Luke Harper and Stardust in a tag-team match. Wade Barrett watched on as he looked to scout his upcoming contenders in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match. Ambrose hit Harper with a clothesline before diving through the ropes while Truth hit the Little Jimmy on Stardust to wrap up the win. This is the first time that R-Truth has picked up a win on Raw since last year and has really gained momentum heading into the title bout. Barrett ran away before anyone could steal his belt while Truth and Ambrose danced in the ring to celebrate.

A 10-man tag-team match followed as Ryback, Zack Ryder, Titus O’Neil, Darren Young and Erick Rowan took on The Miz, Damien Mizdow, Adam Rose, Konnor and Viktor. After all memebers of both teams got involved in what can be described as a melee, Ryback hit The Miz with Shell Shocked to pick up the win for his team.

The WWE Universe voted for Randy Orton to take on Seth Rollins and J&J Security in a handicap ahead of their anticipated one-on-one match this weekend. Rollins however showed why he earned the nickname, “The Architect” as he never actually locked arms with Orton while Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble took the beating from “The Viper”.

Orton won with the RKO on Noble while Rollins sheepishly walked back up the ramp, dragging Mercury along with him. This rivalry has stemmed from autumn last year when Orton fell out with The Authority and he will be looking to finally battle with “Mr Money in the Bank” at WrestleMania.

Nikki Bella defended her Divas Championship against Paige before the two lock arms again later this week in their tag-team match alongside Brie and AJ Lee. The two really got the fans involved with the two outdoing each other throughout the match. Nikki managed to kick out of the Rampaige DDT before the fight ended up outside the ring.

Brie attacked AJ and as Paige went to help out, AJ elbowed her as she thought it was Nikki. The Divas Champion took advantage of the elbow and landed the Rack Attack to retain her title. After the match, Paige speared AJ and beat her down in anger as she thought the elbow was intentional. The Bellas managed to create a rift between the “Frenemies”, right when they were preparing to take them on in their approaching tag-team match.

Jack Swagger faced Rusev who was without his valet Lana for the second week running amid their falling out due to Lana agreeing for Rusev to have a rematch with John Cena at Wrestlemania. The Eastern European once again smoothly defeated Jack Swagger with a side kick followed by the Accolade. Despite Swagger tapping out, Rusev refused to let go until Cena ran down to make the save. Rusev however remained unfazed and threw Cena into the barricade before knocking him over the announcers table and finishing with another Accolade to force him to pass out.

Bray Wyatt sent one last message to The Undertaker before they finally go head to head on Sunday. The lights started to flicker and thunder noises echoed through the arena while Wyatt said that the spirits of the WWE now belong to him rather than Undertaker as he is the new face of fear. The “Eater of the Worlds” stated that he judged the living and the dead and at WrestleMania there will be no redemption. Wyatt concluded that the “Deadman” will finally rest in peace as he have his fate sealed by Sister Abigail’s kiss. The lights then dimmed as Wyatt mocked Undertaker’s urn pose and stuck his tongue out.

Ziggler’s celebration was however cut short as Ambrose delivered a Dirty Deeds before grabbing a ladder to reach for the hanging titles. All the contenders of the Ladder Match then ran down to the ring to send a message and grab the titles but no one was successful with every man laying knocked out on the mat following the preview of what will see later this week.

Paul Heyman talks up Brock Lesnar
Paul Heyman talks up Brock Lesnar (WWE.com)

The show closed with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman making a final statement before the WWE Championship match with Roman Reigns. Heyman said Reigns has no chance as Lesnar is the type of person that would break into his house and take food of his child’s plate to be the conqueror that he is. Heyman said that even if Reigns says that “I can and I will” Brock says that his opponent can’t and won’t. Reigns then made his way through the crowd to finally confront his rival in person, which caused Heyman to leave the ring. The two had a long stare down before Reigns grabbed Lesnar’s title and prevented him from taking it back. Lesnar was clearly infuriated by Reigns with the two ready to strike at each other but the show came to an end for the fans to wait till WrestleMania.
