Dean Ambrose wasted no time in cashing in his ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase, winning a WWE World Heavyweight Championship contract and the title itself all in one evening.
Ambrose overcame Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio to clamber the ladder and claim a coveted shot at the title.
At that stage, it was still held by Roman Reigns, who subsequently took on his former Shield stable-mate Seth Rollins in the evening’s main event.
After pinning Reigns down and getting the full three-count, Rollins triumphed but was the new champion for merely a few seconds. Ambrose emerged, hit Rollins with the briefcase itself and claimed the belt as his own.
