WrestleMania 32 plans have been thrown into disarray following the news that John Cena will be sidelined for six to nine months after suffering a serious shoulder injury.

Cena has torn his rotator cuff, and has revealed that he will be forced to undergo surgery in Birmingham, Alabama tomorrow.

It had been reported that the 15-time heavyweight champion was set to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, the WWE's flagship event, which takes place at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas on 3 April.

Cena joins a long list of top WWE talent out on the shelf heading into WrestleMania, including former champions Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. Doubts also remain over whether stars Daniel Bryan and Cesaro will compete too.

WWE is looking to fill the AT&T Stadium to its capacity of 105,000 fans - a sell-out would set an all-time WrestleMania attendance record. This could be well be the first WrestleMania Cena has not been a part of since WrestleMania 19.
