Ronnie O'Sullivan followed his 5-0 semi-final defeat of Stephen Hendry by making breaks of 75, 134, 71 and 95 in trouncing Mark Williams 6-0 in only 73 minutes for the £50,000 first prize in the Bet Fred Premier League at the International Convention Centre in Manchester.

"None of those slow frames with people falling asleep," O'Sullivan quipped, in reference to his defeat to Peter Ebdon in the World Championship. His fifth title this season left him top of the money list with £380,250. His display hardly suggested someone contemplating retirement but he insisted: "I really have got to take some time off."
