Hull will find out later this week just how much of the coming Super League season their Great Britain centre, Kirk Yeaman, will miss. Yeaman suffered an elbow injury in a pre-season friendly at Doncaster. He is to have a scan on Thursday and Hull fear he will miss the opening game at Warrington a week on Friday. The club are already without Richard Horne, Richard Whiting, Gareth Raynor and Lee Radford with long-term injuries.

The Rugby League is studying video footage from the friendly between Widnes and Wigan on Sunday to judge whether there is any evidence of biting. Referee Gareth Hewer placed a second-half incident on report after a brawl, apparently initiated by Widnes' Iain Morrison and Eamon O'Carroll of Wigan.
