Three clubs try to tempt Orr from Castleford

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Castleford have offered Orr what they say is the best contract in the club's history, but he is also being linked with Hull and Wigan. "We are in negotiation with four clubs," said Ron Hill, who is acting for Orr. "One of them is Castleford and the other three are clubs in the top five."
A spokesman for Bradford said that he was "unlikely" to be joining the Bulls, but the club's board was expected to discuss the matter last night.
If Orr does leave, Castleford could make a move for the London Broncos' Chris Thorman, whose performance for Yorkshire last week has won him a place in the Great Britain squad.
Bradford hope that a knee injury to their Test prop, Stuart Fielden, will not be as serious as first feared. Fielden, a key man for Great Britain in this autumn's Ashes series against Australia, limped off in the second game of his comeback from knee trouble at Wakefield on Sunday. "It does not seem to be as severe as the original injury, but we should know more tomorrow," said a Bulls spokesman.
It now seems likely that the Bulls captain, Robbie Paul, will be out of action for the rest of the season after breaking his left arm in two places. Paul was initially told that he would be out for six to eight weeks, but the injury is worse than first thought.
The Wigan prop, Craig Smith, will face a charge of high tackling after being placed on report for a challenge on Brandon Costin during the defeat by Huddersfield.
The Rugby League is also studying the evidence of a brawl during the Arriva Trains Cup final between Salford and Leigh.
The London Broncos are to lose their goal-kicking centre, Tony Martin, at the end of the season. Martin has agreed a three-year deal with the New Zealand Warriors.
