Your support makes all the difference.Chev Walker will spend this week in hospital after breaking his left leg in horrific fashion at Headingley on Friday night, but Hull KR will be much stronger for their last-chance game in the Super League play-offs on Saturday.
The former England centre suffered a compound fracture of his lower left leg, with the broken bone almost cutting its way through his sock. He was immediately operated on in Leeds, with Rovers going on to lose 44-8.
The Hull KR coach, Justin Morgan, promised, however, that his side would be much more like its old self on Saturday, with Shaun Briscoe, Scott Murrell and Ben Galea all certain to play. "It's do or die – and all of them could have played against Leeds," he admitted.
Jake Webster, recovered from a hamstring injury, will replace Walker, but Morgan could be without Stanley Gene, if the Papua New Guinean is charged with having his fingers around an opponent's eyes.
Huddersfield will also be closer to full strength for Friday's meeting with the Catalans Dragons. Their coach, Nathan Brown, has confirmed that he will have Scott Moore and Keith Mason available for selection after a two-match club suspension.
The pair were banned for staying in London after a night out following the Challenge Cup final, when they should have returned to Yorkshire for training.
