Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

London kept up their play-off aspirations at Griffin Park, sharing 14 tries and staging a superb comeback from 18 points down.

The tone was set in a hectic start. The Broncos forward Gareth Price crossed the line and Tony Martin added the goal but Hull hit back through Gareth Raynor; Adam Maher was next over and then he capitalised on Paul Sykes' mistake to touch down.

There was barely time to draw breath before Richard Horne side-stepped his way over and Crowther added a penalty before the Broncos entered Hull territory for the first time in 20 minutes when Francis Stephenson stretched out an arm to touch down.

The interval provided an opportunity for the spectators to lie down and recover, with Hull 22-12 ahead. London seized control four minutes after it with Martin touching down from Nick Gillette's dab kick.

Three minutes later Martin provided the pass for Price to add his second try and Martin's successful goal levelled the scores. Crowther replied with a penalty before a Broncos onslaught brought tries for Gillette, Nigel Roy and Dennis Moran with a trademark breakaway, with only a Crowther kick to interrupt the flow until Graham MacKay crossed the line in the corner. But Russell Bawden had the final say for Broncos in a breathless match, touching down five minutes from time.
