With Danny Orr facing several weeks out after tearing knee ligaments at Bradford on Friday, Ian Millward has promoted the 18-year-old Eamon O'Carroll for his debut at Belle Vue.
"It is probably a bit early for him, but he is keen and youthful, so we will give him a chance," Millward said.
Wigan are without their recent signings, Tim Jonkers and Oliver Wilkes, who are both Cup-tied.
Joel Tomkins and Kevin Brown return to the squad, while the Wildcats expect still to be without David Solomona and Ben Jeffries.

The Rugby League is investigating a National Cup game, for amateur clubs, in which a Siddal player was sent off against Rochdale Mayfield for allegedly hitting the referee.
