Racing: Frost threat to cards

With overnight temperatures forecast to dip well below freezing today's jump meetings at Ayr and Bangor are both subject to precautionary inspections.

Bangor inspect at 8.00am while Ayr hold theirs at 6.45am. The Ayr clerk of the course, Anthea Morshead, said: "It could get as low as minus five tonight. If that is the case I would be pretty pessimistic of racing."
