Monday night football's back with Manchester United versus Newcastle. If only it could be brightened up with a Kevin Keegan-style "love it" rant. That was back in April 1996, which makes me feel very old.
Tuesday
Young Boys of Berne take on Grown Men of Spurs in the Champions' League qualifier.
Wednesday
It's getting to the stage where Thornton Cleveleys Second XI could give Pakistan a game. Expect it to be Oval and out for Salman Butt's men as the Third Test starts. And head to Dartford if you want to attend the British judo team's media day. The locals can probably give them a few tips on fighting.
Thursday
Mixed bag of Europa League games for the Brits. Man City should find Timisoara a piece of cake, it's Turkish delight for Liverpool against Trabzonspor but managerless Aston Villa may need some luck at Rapid Vienna (or at least a slice).
Friday
That Friday feeling is one of sporting emptiness. The best we can offer: the World Senior Flatwater Championships in Poznan (and I don't know what that is). Or there's women's basketball, which I'd jump through hoops to go and see.
Saturday
This could come under boxing not football, but if you have spare time on your hands and fancy a ruck, it's Leeds against Millwall. Pick of the Prem is Arsenal v brave Blackpool.
