Diving: Daley's perfect 10 wraps up silver
Tom Daley achieved his highest score at an international event to claim silver in the men's 10m platform at the final World Series meeting of the season in Mexico yesterday.
The reigning world champion drew a 10 from the judges for his new four-and-a-half somersault dive, which gave him the biggest score of the final with over 105 points and an overall total of 562.80. British team-mate Pete Waterfield finished fifth with a score of 512.
Gold went to China's Bo Qiu, who scored 582.45, while Mexico's Rommel Pacheco scored 540.90 on his way to the bronze medal.
On Saturday, Daley and Waterfield were unable to follow their 10m synchro gold medal of last weekend with another success. The duo claimed a memorable victory in front of the home crowd at Sheffield but their fledgling partnership suffered a setback as they could only finish fifth in Mexico with a score of 402.75.
