Ramunas Navardauskas took the Giro d'Italia lead yesterday after helping his Garmin-Barracuda team win the time-trial on stage four.
Navardauskas, from Lithuania, and his team-mates finished the 32.2-kilometre race around Verona five seconds ahead of Katusha.
Britain's Team Sky had a disappointing day, having to settle for ninth place, half a minute behind Garmin.
