Spain's Daniel Moreno Fernandez led a late breakaway on an uphill finish to win yesterday's second stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné.
Fernandez sprinted from the leading bunch with a few hundred metres left, edging out France's Julien Simon and Tony Gallopin. Britain's Bradley Wiggins retained the race lead.
