Scotland's David Murdoch has been selected to skip the Great Britain rink at the Winter Olympics in Sochi next February.

The 35-year-old from Lockerbie, who has led Team GB's two previous medal attempts at the Games in Turin and Vancouver, will be joined by fellow Scots Tom Brewster, Greg Drummond, Scott Andrews and Michael Goodfellow.

Team GB's men have not won an Olympic curling medal since 1924. But Murdoch said: "We will go to Sochi believing in ourselves. Having met most of the Team GB athletes in the mix for Sochi, I know every one of us is giving our final preparations everything we have."
