Jesters' losing misery continues
Newcastle Jesters remain rooted to the foot of the Superleague as they set a new club record with their eighth consecutive defeat at the Telewest Arena. Saturday's 3-1 loss to Manchester Storm was their 13th from their last 15 matches and they are in danger of missing out on the play-offs, having finished last season as beaten finalists.

Despite taking the lead through Daniel Lacroix on nine minutes, Greg Bullock soon scored the equalising marker. Two goals in 56 seconds just after the midway point from Trevor Gallant and Mike Morin sealed Storm's second win in three days.
Newcastle remain in a bitter battle with Nottingham, though, for the wooden spoon as just one point separates the sides after the Panthers suffered a 4-3 loss at the National Ice Rink to Cardiff Devils.
Cardiff stretched their league record winning run to 12 matches, although they were given a late scare in front of a crowd of 6,500.
